Lateral Work Mini-Series
This mini-series on key Lateral Work Basics is great for students or horses who find lateral work challenging, or who are still learning how to do it. This series will answer your questions about ‘where should my weight be?’ and will give you a rider’s eye view of the lateral movements and common mistakes. You’ll also learn Karen’s favorite way of introducing lateral positions to horses and students, and how to progress from there. Also included are two videos of Karen coaching students through lateral exercises so you can see what Karen is seeing and how she suggests improvements in the moment.
To see MORE VIDEOS on Lateral Work you can use the Search bar or SCROLL down on the page for the entire category: Lateral Work
You’ll come away from this series with a better visualization of the movements, ways to practice without your horse, and more confident ideas for how to practice with your horse.
Additional Resources: We highly recommend SiMoN the School Master Noodle Kit as well as the DN Book/video for anyone who needs more confidence understanding and mastering lateral movements.
